After a few months an account has more addresses than anyone can hold in their head. Four things keep the list usable.

Descriptions

A line of free text on each alias. Write what it is for, in the words you would use to describe it to yourself in a year. It is searchable.

Labels

Short tags, reusable across aliases: shopping, finance, throwaway, family. Filter the list by one to see everything in that group.

Labels are also usable in rules, so label is finance can drive an action such as never removing attachments. See Rules.

Site icons

When an alias was created on a site, the dashboard can show that site's icon next to it. Recognising a row by its logo is faster than reading forty addresses.

The icon is fetched once, from our servers rather than from your browser, and cached here. The site never learns when you look at your own list.

Search and sort

Search covers the address, the description and the labels. Sorting by last activity brings the addresses that are actually in use to the top, which is usually the list you wanted.

Counters worth reading

Each alias shows how much it has forwarded and how much it has blocked. A high blocked count on one address is the clearest sign of a leak, and the address itself tells you where it leaked from.
