Before you write
Search this site first. Most delivery questions are answered by Mail sent to my alias is not arriving, and the answer arrives faster than we can send it.
Writing
You do not need an account. Give an address we can reply to, which can be one of your aliases.
Include, if the question is about delivery:
- The alias address.
- The sender's address.
- Roughly when it should have arrived, and how you know it did not.
Delivery records live for seven days, so a recent example is something we can look at and an old one is not.
Attachments
You can attach files, including screenshots. Every attachment is scanned, and image metadata is stripped before storage: a screenshot carries the location and device it was taken with, and a support ticket is not a place for either.
While it is open
The ticket page updates live: replies appear as they are written, and you do not need to reload anything or wait for a notification.
Afterwards
Tickets are deleted seven days after they are closed. Tickets about abuse or a legal order are kept for two years, because they document a decision somebody may contest.
Tone, both ways
Write as bluntly as you like about the software. We would rather have a rude bug report than a polite silence. The one thing that gets a conversation ended is abuse directed at a person, and that goes both ways: if we are ever short with you, say so and it will be dealt with.
